Growing up, I would look forward to time spent on my grandparent’s farm. One of my favorite memories is that of my grandmothers’ vegetable garden. The garden was a magical place of enchantment, full of fragrances, sights and sounds. Smelling all the plants, the rhubarb, tomatoes, peppers, dill, cucumbers, zucchini, apricots and pears growing all around, hearing the birds in the trees, feeling the cool water from the hose and the fresh dirt on my hands, and knowing where and how food is grown has left a lasting imprint in my mind. Now that my husband and I live on the farm, when I walk through the now fallow area that once was my grandmothers’ vegetable garden, the scent memory remains.
We created our Heirloom Fragrance based on the memory of our family’s vegetable garden. Anyone who has spent any time in the garden plucking weeds and harvesting matured vegetables will be familiar with the aroma of freshly plucked green tomato leaves warmed by the Kansas sun and hints of fresh summer herbs. This fragrance is a ‘true to life’ freshly crushed tomato leaf from the garden; green and herbal, yet still light and airy enough to boost any room. A base of green leaves and moss intensifies the earthiness of the fragrance.
Bring a garden of memories to life with this incredibly realistic fragrance that’s perfect for bringing the outdoors in. This bright summertime candle will be surprisingly familiar and curiously novel. A hit with any green thumb in your family.
